As the Creativity and Design Network (CIDN) wraps up the fall semester, we are excited about the innovation projects underway in Columbus City Schools, EHE courses, and Southwestern City Schools.
CIDN is launching five projects sites and two sponsoring two EHE courses for preservice teachers. This fall, three of the five project sites began their work.
Dr. Rick Voithofer is leading a project at Columbus Africentric Early College High School focused on coding with 9th grade students.
Dr. Sophia Jeong is leading a project at West High School focused on virtual reality.
Dr. Detra Price is leading a project at Indianola Informal with 7th grade students focused on machine learning and app development.
Dr. Julie Johnson’s course on multimodal writing has been exploring media making and design work with the iPads in our Innovation Studio.
In the spring, Dr. Tasha Lewis and Dr. Mindi Rhoades will launch their projects.
