Generative AI Multimedia for Education: On-Demand Course

A laptop with a network of colorful lines and objects exploding out of the screen.

Explore the evolving world of Generative AI Multimedia tailored for K-12 instructors. This course centers on sound pedagogical principles with practical applications to engage students in novel ways. It is divided into four parts: AI Imagery and Prompting, AI Audio Enhancements, AI Video Considerations, and Legal and Ethical Considerations. Each module includes case studies and practical applications. This course does not endorse any specific AI software. However, much of the content was created using two tools that were vetted and approved by The Ohio State University at the time of the course’s creation: Adobe Firefly and Microsoft Copilot. Learn to use AI tools in a software-agnostic manner.

Course Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the Generative Multimedia AI landscape and identify current trends
  • Identify challenges and ethics of Generative Multimedia AI use
  • Conceptualize practical uses of Generative Multimedia AI for your learning environment
