We’re learning LOTS about how EHE supports fully online students! This month, we’re sharing what we’ve learned so far about the Ed Studies Student Services & Graduate Studies Office. This team, led by Ryan Provost, primarily serves Ed Studies grad students and provides rich support to fully online students in the MLT program as well as grad students taking fully online courses. Here are just a few highlights…
- The Ed Studies Student Services office has created a specialized website that is especially helpful for current students.
- The team successfully sustained the move to online that was created by the COVID 19 pandemic. As a result, they can currently offer all services to fully online students.
- This unit provides a full suite of recruitment services to bring talented students to Ed Studies programs. They help potential students directly and support program faculty with recruitment activities.
- They support student life through partnering with EHE faculty and staff and University units to link students to events and programming. They also host programs to enrich the learning experience.
- They have created a program for students from traditionally underserved populations and actively look for new ways to continue this support.
- The director is actively working to create community and enhance sense of belonging for fully online students to give them an even richer student life experience.
The Ed Studies Student Services and Graduate Studies Office is doing great work to support our fully online students! Check out their website to learn more about them. If you’re interested in partnering with us in support of their work, please let us know.
Next month, we will share more of what we’re learning so far about how EHE is supporting fully online students. In the meantime, get ready for spring–it officially starts on March 19 for us here in the Northern Hemisphere! OSU’s Spring Break is March 11-15.
Happy Spring!
