To support the university’s AI Fluency Initiative, faculty, staff, and students at Ohio State now have access to two additional AI tools: Google Gemini and Notebook LM. Through the acquisition of these new tools, Google CoLaboratory (CoLab) and a few other productivity services like Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Google Drive are also now available at Ohio State for collaborative use with partners outside of Ohio State. For internal collaboration and teaching and learning Microsoft applications are still recommended. Logging into these services via Ohio State credentials, rather than using the free versions, provides additional security and a place to explore and experiment with increased data protection.
More info specifically about Google tools can be found on OTDI’s Google Productivity Services page.
